Ponds are important habitats for a vast range of native species. Over recent years we have lost an unprecedented number of ponds through changing land use which has led to the decline in a number of native species.
We have worked to readdress this balance and have created many ponds for development mitigation schemes, nature reserves, public amenity and domestic clients. Our focus is always to create ponds with high ecological value which benefit local wildlife populations.
We will happily discuss your requirements and can help with all aspects of design and construction including planting schemes. Plants are sourced from local suppliers and are selected for diversity and their known benefit to particular species.
To maintain their ecological value, ponds often require maintenance such as dredging and removal of dominant species. We ensure these works are timed correctly to have minimal impact on the pond community, if necessary working with ecologists under protected species licence.
